Empower Update v5 Deluxe rev 2014122801 Instructions

Happy New Yearish, Empowered Folk, and welcome to this year’s update for your Empower Magick Spellcasting HUD! We’ve been working hard to bring you some great new functionality. Please read this notecard in its entirety before applying your update, and enjoy the new features!

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR IMMORTALS ***
– If you’re already using a combined Empower Magick + Immortals HUD, you can just load this update onto your combined HUD
– If you add Immortals to a standard Empower Magick HUD after applying this update, you’ll need to obtain a new Immortals loader as follows:
– TP to the main store in Smallhaven
– Request redelivery of the latest Immortals pack using either the Redelivery sign at the top of the stairs, or the redelivery function in any Immortals vendor.
***

Changes in this version:
1) HUD Changes
– The HUD now includes a texture Preloader which you can wear to ensure that spells and their FX appear faster. If Options->ChkRelay is ticked, the HUD will check whether you are wearing a preloader and offer you one if you are not
– FIxed problem with SpellBuoy not appearing when set to Visible

2) TPFX
– Underground animations increased in priority to reduce instances of avatar appearing during TPFX before the effect intends them to
– New TPFX and Presets added under Options->TPFX:
– Fountain – Appear in a geyser of water – perfect for water elementals
– Transport – Appear in a swirling burst of particles, “beam me up” style
– DkTransport – Dark version of Transport TPFX
– SmTransp – Petite version of Transport TPFX
– SmDkTransp – Petite version of DkTransport TPFX
– Zap – Appear in a bolt of lightning
Go to Options->TPFX->Presets and try one of the new ones!

3) Updated spells
– Fixed Assist->Heal spell so that it does not freeze at ground level when cast on no-script land above the no-script height limit
– Fixed Attack->Exile to avoid grey goo fence introduced in recent sim updates, and increase effectiveness on irregular ground or inside non-sit shields/buildings
– Increased animation priority on Vanish spell to reduce chances of AOs overriding the spell

4) New Spells
Assist tab:
– AreaHeal – Perform SpellFire healing on all within 10m. Heal amount controlled by HUD Damage setting
New Element tab, containing elemental themed attacks:
– Barrage – Summon boulders to circle the caster, firing forward (does damage if combat is enabled)
– BlackHole – Summon a black hole in front of the specified target, pulling in all avatars within 50m (does damage if combat is enabled)
– Crush – Raise two moving walls of rock on either side of the specified target, to crush them (does damage if combat is enabled)
– EarthWall – Summon a wall of earth in front of the caster (does damage if combat is enabled)
– Explode – The caster bursts into flame, damaging and pushing back nearby avatars (does damage if combat is enabled)
– FireBlast – Flamethrower style flames issue from the mages hands/staff/wand (does damage if combat is enabled)
– FireWall – Summon a wall of flame in front of the caster (does damage if combat is enabled)
– Juggernaut – Raise a wall of rock which moves away from the caster (does damage if combat is enabled)
– LightBlast – Glowing white light issues from the mage’s hands/staff/wand (does damage if combat is enabled)
– LightBurst – A burst of light damages and pushes back those around the mage (does damage if combat is enabled)
– LightPulse – A pulse of light damages and pushes back those in front of the mage (does damage if combat is enabled)
– Quake – Punch the ground, causing a quake which pushes and damages those within 20m (does damage if combat is enabled)

5) New/updated ammo available under Options->Weaponry->Presets
– Boulder (new)
– Light (new – fire a glowing ball of light – uses glow particles)
– Airball (improved FX)
– Dark (improved FX)
– Fireball (improved FX)
– Waterball (improved FX)
– Boom preset added (Boom ammo existed in previous versions, but had no Preset)
Go to Options->Weaponry->Presets and try the new ones out to see if they’re for you.

Please read the Update Instructions below before applying the update. It will take 10-20 minutes to apply, depending on lag in your sim.

If you want a low lag place to apply your update, you are welcome to pop over to our sim – Smallhaven (find it on your map) to apply your update.

If you apply the update and find some buttons/functions on the HUD are greyed out or missing, TP to Smallhaven and try applying it again.

Regards,
Blackdog

————————————————————————————————————————————————————
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
I suggest making a copy of your existing HUD before updating. Locate your HUD in inventory, right click and detach, then right click and Copy, right click and Paste. Rename one of the copies to “Empower HUD v5 Backup” and wear the other copy.

The updater will appear in your Objects folder. Please locate it, rez it on the ground or wear it if you are in “no build” land, make sure you are wearing your Empower Magick HUD and then left click the Updater to activate it.

If you are applying multiple updaters to bring your HUD up to a current version, please wait for each update to fully complete before commencing the next update.

Your HUD will become transparent during the update. It is important that you do not detach it until you receive the message:
“Empowerment complete. Empower v5 HUD is now active.”

If you have multiple copies of your HUD, you will need to apply the update to each. I recommend keeping only one copy of your HUD (and a backup) to simplify updates.

You may need to reposition your HUD after update, due to the change in its shape. You can do this by right clicking the HUD, selecting “Edit” then using the red and green movement arrows to reposition it on your screen. The HUD will remember where you position it, unless you attach it to a different attachment point, in which case it will reset itself to a default location at the top right of your screen.

Once the update is complete, please wait 10 seconds (long enough for all the messages produced during the update to disappear from your screen), detach your HUD, wait 30 seconds more, then reattach it. The waits are to ensure SL “saves” the changes.

During the update, DO NOT walk away from the updater, DO NOT teleport, DO NOT log off and DO NOT cross sim boundaries until the update is complete or YOU MAY DESTROY YOUR HUD.
Ensure you are on land where your objects will not get returned to you. If the updater returns during the update YOU MAY DESTROY YOUR HUD
Ensure you are on land where you can run scripts. If on group land, activate the correct group BEFORE wearing the HUD and rezzing the updater, or the updater won’t run
Should your update fail for any reason, including the above, simply detach and reattach your HUD. The HUD will recover from the failed update, but you should, as quickly as possible, remedy the problem which caused the update to fail, then re-apply the update, as the HUD may do strange things with half an update applied.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Empower Update v5 Deluxe rev 2013102401 Instructions

Greetings and welcome to the latest update for your Empower Magick Spellcasting HUD! Please read this notecard in its entirety.

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR IMMORTALS ***
Those of you with Immortals functionality loaded into your Empower Magick HUD will receive two updates. One for the base HUD and one for the Immortals functions. You must apply them both. Until you do, your HUD may behave strangely.
***

This is a mandatory update. HUDs without this update applied may be disabled by December 2013

Changes in this version:
1) HUD Changes
– The Teleport spells have been moved onto their own TP tab to make room for the extra vehicles on the Travel tab
– Improvements to allow support staff to assist with issues

2) New Spells on the Travel tab
– DgnRider – Summons a Wyvern (two legged dragon) to carry you or the specified target and up to two passengers. Say “dracarys” in local chat for the Wyvern to attack the nearest target in front of them with dragonfire
– Bubble – Summons an enchanted bubble to transport the specified target

3) Updated spells
– More realistic (mesh) hornets in the Hornet spell on the Attack tab
– Changed Scry appearance to a more demonic look
– All vehicles will now take commands from the target as well as the caster (e.g. typing co-ords in local chat in the format <x,y,z>)
– Reduced scripts and memory usage in several vehicles as a result of new features in the LSL scripting language
– New Wyvern mesh with slightly lower land impact, to match DgnRider. This will allow for more improvements in future

Regards,
Blackdog

Empower Update v5 Deluxe rev 2013062301 Release Notes

The release of this update coincides with the release of our new Second Life multi-species role playing HUD, Empower Immortals, details of which can be found at http://immortals.empowermagick.com

Empower Immortals is a separate system to Empower Magick and is available for sale at the Immortals Store as either a separate HUD or a module you can load into your Empower Magick HUD if you wish.

Now, on to the changes in this version:
– A new spell on the Nature tab – Flora – Summons nature’s bounty around the specified target (particle plants and flowers)
– A new spell on the Attack tab – Wyvern – Summons a Wyvern (two legged dragon) to attack the specified target
– The “Mana On/Off” option changes to Meter: Off / Mana (to accommodate Immortals, which adds a third option)
– The particle relays that the HUD gives you are now named “With Meter” and “No Meter” instead of “With Mana” and “No Mana”. Other than the name, they have not changed, so feel free to continue using the ones you have
– The spell target dialog now lists avatars nearest to farthest (used to be the other way around)
– Resolved an issue which caused the nearest avatar on radar to have their distance not displayed in sims with a lot of UTF-8 display names
– Radar now shows distance to two decimal places of precision for anyone closer than 2m
– Radar moved to the left to prevent longer names overlapping the HUD
– Resolved an issue which could cause the radar to crash in very full sims
– Added TPFX and Presets for Petite/Tiny avatars
– TPFX are now all phantom and will not squash/bump/throw avatars on arrival
– The Aura spell now generates a prim effect around the target and provides colour change options
– Boosted flight speed is now maintained when you add up/dn to your boosted movement
– Removed client radar integration to save memory as it is no longer necessary and causes issues with some viewers
– Fixed incorrect message when previewing TPFX with Stealth checkbox ticked
– The HUD background now extends down behind the meter area to make the meter easier to read. This is particularly important if you load the separate Immortals module into your Empower Magick HUD
– Renamed [CHANGE] option to [HIDE] at the top left of the HUD
– Added a new TBA tab to allow future functionality to be loaded into the Empower HUD in addition to Immortals
– The AstralTravel spell now echoes back to you what you send on /88 so that you have a full record of your remote conversations
– Fixed a bug with messages on the Warp portal type when used with RezMapTP
– Changed the updater to a standard prim so that it rezzes faster
– Allow sounds, animations, notecards, landmarks and textures to be added through Utility->AddObject
– Dash is disabled when left mouse button is held down, to allow for Melee fighting with other HUDs, such as Immortals
– Fixed bug with being stunned then disarmed which resulted in you being locked in place when you reattach your HUD
– Abbreviated Mana display when HUD is in “HIDE” mode
– Fixed “Shock” mode (was not working due to changes in SL Physics)

If you want a low lag place to apply your update, you are welcome to pop over to my sim – Smallhaven (find it on your map) to apply your update.

If you apply the update and find some buttons/functions on the HUD are greyed out or missing, TP to Smallhaven and try applying it again.

Blackdog

Empower Update v5 Deluxe rev 2012052501 Release Notes

Welcome to v5 of the Empower Magick Spellcasting HUD!

This is a version increase from v4.1 to v5, due to the significant number of changes, in particular a new look to the HUD, changes to the way Mana works, a new scanning function and use of llSetRegionPos() to replace posJump in all spells, which required all components of the HUD and all spells to be reworked.

Due to the size of this update, you will receive both an updater which you can apply to your existing HUD to preserve your settings, along with a full pack, in case you prefer to simply unpack a new copy of your HUD and avoid the lengthy update process.

With this release of v5 I have also implemented an online bug tracking/support/feature request system – Mantis.
This will not only allow me to respond faster to support requests, but also allows you to vote on the features you would like to see added to the HUD. I will incorporate feedback via the Mantis voting mechanism in my prioritisation of future changes to the HUD.
Access it at http://support.empowermagick.com or just click the new “?” button above the HUD and follow the links. You will need to register an account there. Please make it the same as your SL name, as I will delete accounts which I cannot verify as belonging to Empower HUD owners.
Please feel free to add feature requests or vote on the feature requests you find on there. I have migrated some of my development queue over to Mantis, but there is more to go across yet. If you have asked for something to be added to the Empower HUD and it is not in v5 and you can’t see it on Mantis, please raise it there. I will eventually migrate my entire (very large) development queue, incorporating all existing requests, but it will go faster if you raise requests for the things you care about.

Major changes in this version are:
– A new look to the HUD and updater modelled around a spell book
– Full sim scanning without need for client radar or scanner prims (works in no-rez zones)
– Changes to skins to accommodate the new book style HUD
If you have a favourite skin which you think could translate to the new v5 look, please raise it on Mantis and if at all possible, I will bring it across in the next release.
– New spells and improvements to old favourites along with some bug fixes
– New Ammo types, functionality and presets
– New MoCap animations, sounds, CastingFX and presets
– Vehicle/Portal interaction (Empower vehicles can now travel through Empower portals)

Full details follow after the Update instructions. Please read the Update Instructions below before applying the update, then take a look through what has changed whilst the update is applying. It is a large update and will take 10-20 minutes to apply, depending on lag in your sim, so you should have plenty of time to read the details of the changes.
If you want a low lag place to apply your update, you are welcome to pop over to my sim – Smallhaven (find it on your map) to apply your update.

Now, read on, follow the UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS below and enjoy.

Regards,
Blackdog

————————————————————————————————————————————————————
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
I suggest making a copy of your existing HUD before updating. Locate your HUD in inventory, right click and detach, then right click and Copy, right click and Paste. Rename one of the copies to “Empower HUD v4.1 Backup” and wear the other copy.

The updater will appear in your Objects folder. Please locate it, rez it on the ground or wear it if you are in “no build” land, make sure you are wearing your Empower HUD and then left click the Updater to activate it.

If you are applying multiple updaters to bring your HUD up to a current version, please wait for each update to fully complete before commencing the next update.

Your HUD will become transparent during the update. It is important that you do not detach it until you receive the message:
“Empowerment complete. Empower v4.1 HUD is now active.”

Once the update is complete, please wait 10 seconds (long enough for all the messages produced during the update to disappear from your screen), detach your HUD, wait 30 seconds more, rename it in inventory from “…v4.1″ to “…v5″, then reattach it.

What’s in this update?
1. Changes to the HUD
As you will see, the HUD has been updated to use a “Spellbook” theme. This includes a range of changes:
– The big red STOP button and the Tools icon have been replaced with stylised “Dispell” and “Settings” buttons on the left page
– The old skins have been replaced by a smaller number of “book” skins – “BloodRed”, “Clean”, “Dragonhide” and “Default”
If you have an old favourite which you think can be applied to the book form, let me know and I will port it over
– Changed default HUD size to accommodate newer viewers and new format. HUD Size will reset to “Normal” (100%) on update
– Added a help button “?” at the top of the HUD which takes you to a page where you can raise a support/feature request or browse the Empower documentation
– Two extra Favourites buttons on the left page (formally the top panel of the old HUD) marked as “HoldToSet”. Hold them until a message appears at the bottom of the HUD, then click the spell you would like to program in as a new favourite
– Changed HideModes available under Options->HUDConfig or Settings->HideMode:
– CloseSm (closes the book to a small size to reduce screen usage. Click top open or click the red symbol to dispell)
– CloseLg (same as CloseSm but full sized)
– FoldL (Fold the right half of the book back, leaving just the left page with favourites and controls – for use when HUD is positioned on the left of your screen)
– FoldR (Fold the right half of the book back, leaving just the left page with favourites and controls – for use when HUD is positioned on the right of your screen)
– New Ravage tab to hold spells with a large area of effect
– Carnage, Hellfire and Megiddo moved here, along with new Judgment and Detonate spells (see below)
– New ParticleRelays using more efficient llRegionSayTo()
– Detach your old ParticleRelay/Wand and the HUD will offer you new ones if you have Options->ChkRelay ticked
– v4 particle relays will continue to work, however I recommend you switch to the newer more efficient ones

2. Changes to scanners, radar and AVTracker
– New full sim scanner functionality without requiring client radar or prim based scanners/probes – works in no-rez zones
– Scanners submenu removed, along with checkbox for 1000,2000,3000,4000
– AV/Obj scanner mode selection moved to left page
– Radar and AVTracker settings have been simplified to “Left/Right/Off” and “Top/Bottom/Off” respectively
– Available from Options->HUDConfig or Settings->Displays
– Note that due to this change, your radar and AVTracker will reset to “Left” and “Bottom” respectively on update
– Fixed bug with AVTracker display being truncated due to multi byte display names
– Fixed issue with unavailable display names showing as ??? in AVTracker in DispNames mode

3. Changes to spellcasting
– New camera based casting options on target menu:
<CamPos> Creates a temporary object at your camera’s position and casts the spell on it
<CamCast> Spells are cast on the object/avatar that your camera is looking at (beware transparent prims getting in the way)
Note that with <CamCast>, the spell will be cast on the child prim you are looking at in a multi-prim object
Every prim in every object around you is now a potential spell target
– For command line casting, you can specify “camcast” and “campos” as targets to get the same result as above. e.g. “/5 glow campos”
– If you want CamCast to be your default mode, tick the CamCast checkbox on the left page.
Command line casting (e.g. /5 glow) will then not prompt for a target if one is not specified. If a target is specified, it will override Cam casting
– Changed “ByRange” option on target menu to “<ByRange>” to visually distinguish from avatars and conform to <CamPos> and <CamCast> options

4. New and changed spells
New spells
Nature->Light – Summon beams of light around the target, to banish the dark
Nature->WthrMist        –   Summon mist over a 30m area
Nature->WthrWind – Summon gusts of wind over a 30m area around the caster – pushes avatars in push enabled land
Assist->Meditate – Conjure a meditation circle, with optional particle effects
Travel->SendTP – Send a teleport spell to the target, allowing them to teleport to a desination you nominate
Push->Freeze – Cage the target in a block of ice
Ravage->Detonate – Summon the element of fire to explode around the target and all nearby (10m radius)
Ravage->Judgment – Open a rift through which demons will issue, attacking all nearby (good for target practise)
Utility->ChkScripts – Privately reports on target position, distance and script time
Utility->SpellBuoy – Drop a magickal marker at your camera’s location, which shows on your radar (only) as an avatar target
(Useful for spell testing and as a Join destination stored outside the HUD) Click for menu
Utility->DelBuoy – Delete a SpellBuoy without having to click it to get its menu
Utility->CtlBuoy – Obtain a menu from a SpellBuoy without having to click it

Changes to spells
Visual->Glow – Changed particle parameters to remove edge effect and provide a more gentle glow
Visual->Peace – Fixed issue with casting Peace ByRange
Visual->Sink – More effective AO stopping so you can move whilst invisible
Visual->Vanish – Disappearance and reapparance is now accompanied by a flash of light. Improved AO stopping
Nature->Wthr* – All Wthr* spells will now auto-dispell when the caster leaves the sim
Assist->Bespeak – Updated to new theme coloured “lifespark” look instead of a floating blue ball
Assist->GiveMana – New mana transfer sound and settings for new Mana system (see below). Two mages giving mana to a third should now be able to sustain a single spell indefinitely under the new system
Assist->Scry – Reports on target distance and script time when target is in the same sim
Has better error handling for malformed names and errors from Name2Key services
Will accept object keys and report on their script usage
Uses a different secondary lookup service which appears to be more reliable than the old secondary service
Attack->Smite – Fixed problem with dispelling Smite spell in high lag environments
Travel->AstralTravel – Fixed bug when Options->DispNames was ticked – caused all speakers to show using the caster’s name
Travel->Dash – Added additional dash trigger – tap back (down arrow) whilst moving forwar (holding up arrow)
Travel->Carpet – Doubled turning speed. Added support for travel through Empower portals
Travel->Cloud – Doubled turning speed. Added support for travel through Empower portals
Travel->Cushion – Doubled turning speed. Added support for travel through Empower portals
Travel->Dolphin – Added support for travel through Empower portals
Shield->Shield – Added Phantom checkbox to Shield tab
When ticked, shield will rez as a phantom object, providing no protection until you sit on it, but allowing you to walk freely
– Added support for travel through Empower portals
Click portal when seated on shield or cast a portal whilst seated and the shield will travel through it
– Dynamic speed and acceleration control via “Speed” option and “Accel” checkbox on Shield tab
– Shield now becomes invisible when avatar goes offworld when Show is enabled
(underground, offsim, bounced, phased, offset)
Land->AddBan/DelBan – Performs an Estate Ban when no ban time is specified, if the caster is an Estate Manager
OR is listed in the new Land Spell Relay as having Land permissions
AND a new Estate Ban Relay has been rezzed by an Estate Manager (see “Changes to Land Spell Relays”)
Attack->Warn – Uses SpellFX so you can customise spellcasting animations/sounds/particles and messages (advanced)
Note that this required a change in the name of the Warn spell
If you had it stored as a favourite, you will need to reprogram your favourites button
Utility->Rez – Includes a DeRezAll button to avoid having to return to the Utilities tab to DeRez all items you have rezzed
Attack->Shrink – Explicitly requests perms from the target as well as acting as a trap if perms are refused.
Improved effectiveness of Shrink algorithm for slow loading animations on some clients

Improved catching efficiency of FallProtect

New Portal types:
– Rift – select from Options->Presets->DarkRift/FaeRift/LightRift or customise particle colours via Travel->TPConfig
– Warp – select from Options->Presets->DarkWarp/FaeWarp/MerWarp/Warp/WarpSpect or customise via Travel->TPConfig

Changes to Teleporters (Portals)
– Empower Vehicles can now pass through Empower portals
Scripts to add to your own (modifiable) vehicles/objects to support this will be sent to the EmpowerMagick group with this update
If you miss the scripts in the group, contact me and I’ll send them to you
Note that there is a 5 second delay after a vehicle travels through a portal before it will be able to travel again to avoid
bouncing between portals
– Portals will now rez a presence at the destination if Travel->EndPoint is ticked and land permissions allow
Portals generated with both PermTP and EndPoint ticked will be two way. Unless both options are ticked, the portal is one way
Avatars trying to sit/click on one way endpoints will be sent a message explaining that it belongs to a one way portal
Does not apply to “Group/Circle” teleporters
– Teleports occur at 4095m instead of 1000m
– Made TPConfig more readable, for customising your Teleporters (Portals)
Note: you should use Travel->Presets unless you wish to fine tune your Teleporters (Portals)
– Added Presets and casting messages for Sigil and DarkSigil teleporters (missing from previous update)
– Fixed issue on all Teleporters (Portals) when Join or Invite passenger is same as target (disabled “TP to self”)
– Fixed a message loop impacting the efficiency of Portal TPTypes
– Disable PermTP when casting Join/Invite/SendTP (portals which track an avatar at either end can’t be permanent as the avatar will eventually leave the sim)
– Updated GlowCircle particle effect used by Vortex teleporters to give a slightly more textured look to the Vortex particles
– The Preview function for configuring TPConfig or selecting Presets has changed to “TP Forward 5m” so that you can see endpoints

Changes to Land Spell Relays:
– Added as rezzable items under Utility->Rez
– Added new EstateRly which, if rezzed by an Estate Manager, will make the AddBan/DelBan spells operate as Estate bans as well as their default behaviour as parcel bans
– Added ability for LandRelay to enforce Mana mode whilst on your land. See details at http://www.empowermagick.com
– To use the new functionality, replace your existing LandSpellRelay/BanSpellRelay with the new relays.
This is optional, as the old Empower v4 relays will continue to work with v5, but will not provide the additional functionality

New and changed ammunition for use in Mouselook weaponry and new ammo type
– New ammo types – Boom, Airball, Aircloud – for the elementals amongst us
– New “Push” option under Options->Weaponry – adds push ability to any ammo type. Previously only available on Blast ammo
– New “Particles” option under Options->Weaponry – determine whether ammo generates particles on impact
– Can now set the EffectTime (particles, animations etc) for mouselook weaponry. Previously used the time for CastingFX

5. Changes to Mana mode
– When in Mana mode, spells will now consume Mana as long as they are running, for improved compatibility with RP sims
– Changed message generated on mana depletion
– Mana mode is no longer disabled every time you wear your HUD
– Sim owners can elect to enforce Mana mode for all Empower users whilst in their sim, via the new version of the LandRelay
– Added Mana checkbox to left page and to Options tab for improved visibility

6. New animations and sounds
– Added new animations and sounds for use in your CastingFX/TPFX/DispellFX:
New Animations: RiseUp (used by WthrWind) and WhirlUp (alternative for WthrWind if you choose to customise it), Voivode
New MoCap Animations: SummonLt, SummonDk (used by Judgment spell)
New Sounds: Eerie2 (used in Warn SpellFX), Wind (used in Freeze spell), WpAir, WpWind, WpFlame, PowerBurst

7. Bug Fixes and internals (for advanced users and those who customise their HUD)
– Improved error messages when attempting to set vars to out of range values
– Added future support for “fast updates” when only adding new spells and not changing core HUD scripts
– Spells updated to use llSetRegionPos() and llRegionSayTo()
– Fixed a crash mode in updater which could cause it to hang for users with out of date landmarks stored in the HUD
– HitDetect no longer reports collisions with objects you own – add 64 to your msglevel (/5 var msglevel xxx) to re-enable old functionality
– Fixed bug which caused the Greet/Farewell spells to continue to generate particles in Stealth mode
– Improved effectiveness of client radar interface – now requests keys more often
– Improved efficiency and stability of MsgClients – malformed custom spellcasting messages will no longer cause crashes
– Specifying ! as the target message in custom spellcasting messages will duplicate the casting message, to save memory
– Fixed bug which resulted in hex digits appearing in radar due to malformed keys being received from scanners/client radar when message corruption occurs
– Options->ConfigEnh button added for configuring optional casting enhancements (stay tuned for these in future)

————————————————————————————————————————————————————
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
I suggest making a copy of your existing HUD before updating. Locate your HUD in inventory, right click and detach, then right click and Copy, right click and Paste. Rename one of the copies to “Empower HUD v4.0 Backup” and wear the other copy.

The updater will appear in your Objects folder. Please locate it, rez it on the ground or wear it, make sure you are wearing your Empower HUD and then left click the Updater to activate it.

If you have multiple copies of your HUD, you will need to apply the update to each. I recommend keeping only one copy of your HUD (and a backup) to simplify updates.

Once the update is complete, please wait 10 seconds (long enough for all the messages produced during the update to disappear from your screen), detach your HUD, wait 30 seconds more, rename it in inventory from “…v4.0″ to “…v4.1″, then reattach it.

What’s in this update?
1. New and changed spells
New spells
Push->Drag – Click and hold on the specified target to drag them around with your mouse
Assist->Candle – Summon a candle to light the way for the specified target

Empower Deluxe Update v4.1 rev 2011042101 Instructions

Welcome to v4.1 of the Empower Magick Spellcasting System! Now with more lightning and three times as many bats. No dragons were harmed (much) during the testing of this HUD and those who were are recovering nicely.

This is a version increase from v4.0 to v4.1, due to the significant number of changes, in particular inclusion of display name support and enhanced effects, which required all components of the HUD and all spells to be reworked.

NOTE:
This update will display progress on the HUD rather than in local chat. Do not be alarmed – just watch your HUD for update progress.
If you wish to see more information on what the update is doing, type “/5 var debug on” before applying the update

Major changes in this version are:
– Display Names support (select your targets by display name and use their display names in casting messages)
– Custom CastingFX on a spell by spell basis (some spells look better when you cast them and you can choose how you look when casting them)
– Particle colour customisation for CastingFX and certain spell particles
– Shield colour customisation (also applies to Protect and Ward spells)
– Improved interface for selecting sounds, animations and now colours
– Programmable favourites buttons on the top panel (use this notecard >> << to configure them similarly to v4.0)
– Ability to store items in the HUD and rez them out via the HUD
– Particle relay detection (The HUD will offer you a particle relay if you are not already wearing a compatible one)
– All spells reworked to use new API with anti-return features
– New and improved spells
– Ability to reduce HUD messages in local chat
– Further reduced memory and script time utilisation

Full details follow after the Update instructions. As this update performs a version update, I would recommend you rename your HUD from “v4.0″ to “v4.1″ in inventory during the detach/attach steps below, as the updater cannot perform that step. If your HUD shows up as no-modify in inventory and will not let you rename it, please contact me for a new base version before applying. This can happen if at any point you have rezzed your HUD in-world and taken it back into inventory.

If you have multiple copies of your HUD, you will need to apply the update to each. I recommend keeping only one copy of your HUD (and a backup) to simplify updates

Once the update is complete, please wait 10 seconds (long enough for all the messages produced during the update to disappear from your screen), detach your HUD, wait 30 seconds more, rename it in inventory from “…v4.0″ to “…v4.1″, then reattach it.

What’s in this update?
1. Display Names Support
– Using the HUD with Options->DispName ticked will result in the radar, AVTracker and spell target menus using display names
– When you cast spells with Options->CastingFX->Messages ticked (and Stealth unticked) your display name will be used

2. CastingFX Improvements
– Under Options->CastingFX, you can now set the StartColour and EndColour settings for your Casting and Targeted particles
– Particle selection is much simpler, using a selection list when you click the Casting or Targeted buttons
– Presets are now readily available under Options->CastingFX->Presets
– The Preview function will now rez a target so that you can preview your targeted particle effects
– Try the new interface for selecting sounds, animations, particles – no more “Prev/Next” buttons – just select from a list

3. TPFX Improvements
– Presets are now readily available under Options->TPFX->Presets
– Options->TPFX now provides a simpler way to customise the particles used when you teleport
– You can now customise the start and end colours of your particles
– Click the AddObject button to rez a vortex with instructions on how to add your objects once they are scripted (hit STOP or click the vortex to remove it)
– Click the Rez/DeRez/DeRezAll buttons to rez/derez your objects
– Click the DelObject button to remove one of your objects from the HUD (be careful not to remove the objects that come with the HUD unless you REALLY want to). It will make you click twice on rezzable names you want to remove, to be sure
– Try the SLurl feature, which reports an SLurl in local chat
– Note that the following spells have been moved here from other tabs to free room on those tabs:
Track/UnTrack/CastOnly/Lumen/DisLumen

6. Top panel Favourites
– The 6 buttons on the top left of the HUD are now programmable favourites buttons.
– Programme the top panel favourites to settings of your choice by left clicking and holding until they flash, then select the spell you want to programme in
– If you want them back to something like they were in v4.0, drag this >> << notecard to your inventory, then drag it onto the HUD

Changes to teleporters
– Try the new TP spells listed in “New Spells” above
– Try customising them using the TPConfig tab, which replaces the old TPTypes button. You can select a base TPType and customise its particles and colours, or select from a range of Presets
– Try the new TPTypes – Sigil and DarkSigil and their corresponding Presets/entries under Settings->Teleporters (two ways of getting to the same thing)
– Teleporters will now de-rez (auto-dispell) if you move 20m away
– Try out the PermTP checkbox which will make either a “Teleport” portal or a “RezMapTP” portal permanent. Close the portal with the ClosePortal spell
– Try the old Teleport spell – it now only lists destinations which you can reach without resorting to the Map, making it much easier to find where you want to go

8. New options
– Options->ChatWarn
Click this checkbox if you wish to be warned of other avatars entering/leaving chat/listening distance
– Options->ChkRelay
If you wear your HUD without a compatible Empower particle relay, the HUD will now give you one to wear.
Choose from a relay inside you with/without Mana, or an Empower Magick Wand which you can customise from the Wand tab.
Untick this checkbox to disable the feature

9. Spell specific customisable CastingFX
You can now customise the CastingFX for an individual spell:
– Left click and hold the spell until you receive a message at the bottom of the HUD saying “Release to set custom CastingFX” then release
– The message at the bottom of the HUD will change to “Loading…” and after a few seconds, the bottom panel will display the casting FX
– Modify them as you wish, then select the Save button
– Select the Defaults button to return to the default CastingFX specified for the HUD in Options->CastingFX
– Use the Preview button to see what your effects would look like if saved
– Use the Cancel button to discard any changes you have made and leave the spell’s settings as they were when you entered
– Note that the following spells come with customised CastingFX – be aware of their current settings before changing them and aware that future updates may override your changes on these spells:
Bat, Bless, Bug, Butterfly, Dragon, Electro, Energise, Flame, Glow, Greet, Farewell, Invisibility, Launch, Lift, Lumen, Peace, Pulse, Smite, Smother, Vine, Volcano

10. HUD Changes
– There are new animations and sounds for use in your CastingFX/TPFX/DispellFX:
New Animations: ArmsFwd1, ArmsFwd2, ArmsOhead, BHChop, BHRaise, HandPart, LHCircle, RHCircle, TPRise, TPRise2, Jeannie
New Sounds: Swallow1, Swallow2, Ominous, Eerie1, IMDeath
– Many of the options under the Settings menu (Tools icon next to the STOP button) have changed
– Try some of the new TPFX: DarkRunes, FireRunes, Runes and new Presets for these under Settings menu (Tools icon next to STOP button) and Options->TPFX->Presets
– Try casting spells with Options->CastingFX->SpellFX unticked if you don’t want flashy casting and just want spells to activate fast with a wave of your hand/wand
– Try some of the new particle effects and desaturated versions of old particle effects, to which you can apply your own colours
– Try the Cloud particle effect, if you used it previously. It now covers a 360 degree sphere instead of 180 degree hemisphere above you

11. Internals (for advanced users and those who customise their HUD)
– The names of particle notecards have changed from Particles-Target* to TargetP-* and Particles-Static* to StaticP-*. If you have created your own particle notecards, they will be deleted during update and you will need to add them back in to the HUD under the new naming scheme. They will then show up in the appropriate particle selection panels. *BE SURE TO KEEP A COPY OUTSIDE THE HUD BEFORE UPDATE*
– The old command line particle selection command “/5 particles save NAME” has been replaced with castp and targp variables. So instead of “/5 particles save sparkle” you would now use “/5 var castp #Sparkle1″
– The internal format for favourites storage has been updated to handle top buttons as favourites
– Command chaining via local chat has been re-enabled (“/5 glow me;aura me”)
– To support display names, all spells have been reworked to use a different method to announce casting/target messages. This will result in a space or a colon in front of the messages
– Try the new msglevel variable, set with “/5 var msglevel n” where n is a combination of the following, summed together (bitmasks):
1 – Enable normal operating messages
2 – Enable HUD startup messages (number of commands available, casting channel and casting methods)
4 – Enable additional messages (status of variable changes as per v4.0, warnings about no-rez locations when casting spells or rezzing scanners and display name retrieval in AVTracker)
8 – Enable verbose messages during update
The default value for msglevel is 3 – Normal operating messages plus HUD startup messages. To disable HUD startup messages, for example, but leave normal operating messages on, use “/5 var msglevel 1″
– Various internal script optimisations to reduce memory and script time consumption
– Fixed intermittent issue with updater hanging due to sim lag
– For those who customise spellcasting messages via setmsg or HUDConfig-20-Messages – you can now suppress dispell messages on a spell by specifying a dispell message (last parameter) of “none” (case sensitive). Search HUDConfig-20-Messages in the HUD for an example
– Note that whilst anti-derender support has been added to some spells, the latest Phoenix client (released during this update) includes better derender facilities which overcome this. Other clients do not at this point.

Greetings Empowered Folk and welcome to the December 2010 update for your spellcasting HUD!

Blackdog Ashbourne

————————————————————————————————————————————————————
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
The updater will appear in your Objects folder. Please locate it, rez it on the ground, make sure you are wearing your Empower HUD and then left click the Updater to activate it.

If you purchased your HUD in-world and prefer to have a fresh package delivered to you, rather than update your existing HUD, you can use the redelivery terminal located just inside the entrance to our main store:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Crumbi/149/82/45

If you are applying multiple updaters to bring your HUD up to a current version, please wait for each update to fully complete before commencing the next update.

Your HUD will become transparent during the update. It is important that you do not detach it until you receive the message:
“Empowerment complete. Empower v4.0 HUD is now active.”

If you have multiple copies of your HUD, you will need to apply the update to each. We recommend keeping only one copy of your HUD (and a backup) to simplify updates

Once the update is complete, please wait 10 seconds (long enough for all the messages produced during the update to disappear from your screen), detach your HUD, wait 30 seconds more, then reattach it, to ensure SL “saves” the changes.

– Rearranged the Travel tab (moved Dash around to make room for new spells)

Land tab:
– AddBan spell: Will now perform a SendHome on the target before banning them

3. Improvements and bug fixes
– “Blast” Ammo (Settings->Weaponry->Blast) now generates a lightning effect on impact
– Glitter particles updated to fully surround the avatar rather than just an upper hemisphere
– Improved HUD radar integration with Phoenix. Avatars in sim weren’t registering when you TP in
– Set HUD components to Full Bright, as some viewers (incl Imprudence) will apply environmental light settings to HUDs
– Fixed a problem with the Forbid/Permit spells (Permit was not working)

The following two changes were reported as being part of the previous update, but were accidentally omitted. They are restored in this update:
– Changed ending particle colour for “Orange” option on Wand Colour tab
– Added “Next>>” and “Start>>” buttons under Options->CastingFX->Particles1/2/3

This update is dedicated to the memory of Patsennarion Sweetwater. Many of the features of the Empower HUD were inspired by Pat and she will be missed greatly.

Welcome to the third quarterly update to your Empower Magick HUD for 2010!

Please note that this update includes significant changes to the Particle Relays.

When you rez this updater, you will receive a folder containing new Particle Relays and extras. Please wear the new Particle Relay appropriate to you when using the updated HUD. Please also read the instructions below to understand what’s changed and what steps you may wish to take to update your particle effects.

For those of you who use the Land Spell Relay, a new version of it is also included in the folder sent to you by the updater, to support the AddBan/DelBan spells which have been added with this update. Again, full details are below.

Apart from that, it’s the usual improvements, new spells and new features, the biggest of which is an optional Mana capability and increased support for themed spells, particularly the Dark theme, with Halloween coming. Full details on all the changes follow the update instructions.

If you own an Empower Wand, or an Empower Compatible Staff, you should receive an updated version supporting the new particle relay and Mana mode within the next week. If you need it more urgently or have not received an updated version within a week of this announcement, please IM me.

Greetings and welcome to the June 2010 update to the Empower Magick Spellcasting HUD!

This update delivers a lot of significant changes, including a reduction in script time used by the HUD, having the HUD still work in no-script zones, improved teleport times when wearing the HUD, improvements to teleporters, HUD messages and Combat spells (particularly the Shield), along with new spells (Exile, AstralTravel, Halo, Flare, Spectral) and new features including the ability to cast spells where you couldn’t previously and cast spells by key.

There really is more than I can list in this summary, so I urge you to read the full details which are provided after the Update Instructions, as always.

As a result of the number of improvements, you may need to allow around 10 minutes for this update to apply.

Enjoy!

————————————————————————————————————————————————————
————————————————————————————————————————————————————

What’s in this update?

1. Updater changes
– The updater now gives far less messages during updates

2. HUD Changes
– Reduced scripts and increased efficiency results in faster teleport times and should resolve issues where you could not teleport with the HUD on. The HUD now uses approx 0.1ms of script time when idle and less than 3M of memory. This is around one quarter of what it used previously
– Improved speed of Empower scanners – full sim scan within a few seconds now (not needed if using Emerald)
– HUD will now continue to operate when you teleport into an area where scripts are disabled. Useful for casting spells from within safezones in combat sims.
– Cast spells in places where you previously couldn’t. If build is disabled where you are, the HUD will search for a location within 10m where it can rez the spell. If your target is on land where object entry is enabled, the spell may still reach them. This is also useful for casting spells from within safezones in combat sims.
– Cast spells by object/avatar key using the command line (e.g. /5 glow 039c9aff-5f71-71f8-bb29-b5c7a79414e2)
– Movelock is now stronger and will not throw you back to a previous location when standing from a vehicle
– Particle effects are now specified in notecards instead of requiring one script per effect. The manual at http://www.empowermagick.com will soon be updated to describe the format, should you wish to add your own particle effects
– Spellcasting messages now suppressed entirely if Options->CastingFX->Messages is unticked (unless Stealth is ticked as well, in which case only you will see the messages)
– Favourites now correctly handles dual function buttons (like the AV/Obj button under “Scanners” on the top panel)
– Dispelling by avatar no longer dispells “non targetted” spells (i.e. those for which you didn’t have to select an avatar to cast on, like JumpCam, Dodge, WthrStorm etc)
– When you dispell by avatar with no-one around, you will now get a menu listing your name, to confirm, rather than the HUD defaulting to dispelling all of your spells
– Changed dispell messages to no longer list “from all targets” when dispelling by spell
– Casting a spell via local chat which matches multiple spells no longer produces a dialog menu. It now just lists the matches in local chat
– Fixed a typo in the default spellcasting target message, introduced in the last update
– The hudsize variable now provides for greater granularity. If the provided “Big, Bigger, Biggest, Normal, Small, Smaller, Smallest” presets don’t quite get the size right for you, you can adjust it manually with the command “/5 var hudsize xxx” where xxx is a percentage of the default HUD size (100 = default, 150 = 1.5 times the default, 80 = 80% of the default etc.)
– Improved Scatter so that you do not appear in your actual location on each cycle

3. Commenced conversion of spells over to a new internal system with the following features:
– Faster and more responsive, tracking the target more closely
– Reduced number of scripts per spell
– Spells are limited to the sim in which they are cast and will not follow the target to adjacent sims (to prevent anti-followers from working)
– Spells will auto-dispell when the target or Spellcaster (you) cannot be detected in the sim in which they were cast
– Immune to anti-follower logic in NPVs which can result in spells being sent off-world or lost in adjacent sims
Spells which have been converted so far are:
Visual tab: Flame + the three new spells: Flare, Halo, Spectral
Attack tab (combat enabled): Blast, Burn, Fireball, Hornet, Shield, Spider, Tornado, Waterball, Wraith, Zap
Attack tab (non-combat enabled): Darkness, Egg, PumpkinHead
Push tab (combat enabled): Ward, Protect
Push tab (non-combat enabled): Block, Cage, Chain, Jail, Launch, PumpkinPile, Tree
Travel tab: Follow, SkyWalk
Assist tab: Heal, Platform
– I will be releasing the Empower API at a future date, for those of you who wish to create your own spells. Contact me if interested.

4. Changes on the Visual tab
– New spells:
Flare – Surround the target with beams of white light
Halo – Place a halo over target’s head
Spectral – Surround the target with beams of spectral (multicoloured) lights

5. Changes to the Shield spell (NPV)
– Shield can now be cast from within a safezone in a combat sim and safely mounted (right click->Sit), even when under attack
– Changed shield default to being invisible once you sit on it
– Added Walk and Stride animations to the shield – the old animation has been renamed to “Dash” and the AnimOn/AnimOff option has been replaced by a button which cycles through animation options
– Added off-world feature, which allows you to travel up to 50m outside the sim, below ground and above the 4096 limit
– Updated Follow mode to use off-world feature, allowing you to follow people outside the sim
– Added in safe sim crossing logic
– Improved the Shield’s Cleanse option to allow it to remove more followers.
– Enhanced the Offset mode for avoiding followers, which will now appear 20m behind you (movement is disabled in this mode)
– Rearranged the buttons on the Shield menu and merged the Hide and Stealth options (Hide now behaves like Stealth)
– Added a “Quit” option. Useful when you cast the shield on other avatars to protect them, then leave the sim. They can choose to dispell it.
– Improved shield’s “GroundHug” feature, which keeps you from flying when walking on uneven land
– Shield spell now uses far less scripts (for those who are interested, it uses llSetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast and a fast posJump)
– Messages are sent as IMs instead of using llOwnerSay when the shield is cast on someone other than yourself
– Clicking the “Dispell By: Both” button and selecting the “Shield Me” button on the HUD will now dispell your shield without prompting you
– Fixed problem with Phase mode which left you unable to see your avatar without moving the camera in certain circumstances
– Fixed problem with avatars sinking into the ground or floating above it
– Dispelling the Shield will no longer dispell the Cloud, if you have both running
– Shield now recognises that it is visible when you stand from it then sit back on it (menu correctly shows “NoShow” option)

6. Changes to Combat spells (Attack/Push tabs)
– New “Shock” checkbox on the Push tab – attempts to shove avatars or objects which collide with you (or which you walk in to) even in areas where pushing is disabled
– Hug and Movelock no longer fight when hugging over a long distance

Apologies – this was not posted on the website at the time the update was issued. Catching up now!

Welcome to the first update to your Empower Magick HUD for 2010!

This update is a fairly big one and includes change to the internal workings of the HUD, along with new and improved spells and some bug fixes.
Details are further down in this notecard, after the usual instructions for applying the update.

Note that if you use a skin (these were called themes but have been renamed as part of this update) you’ll need to set it again after applying the update.

Enjoy!

————————————————————————————————————————————————————
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
The updater will appear in your Objects folder. Please locate it, rez it on the ground, make sure you are wearing your Empower HUD and then left click the Updater to activate it.

What’s in this update?

1. New spells
Visual tab: Sink spell – offer the target (or self) the ability to vanish by sinking into a cloud of smoke
Nature tab: Fountain spell – cause the earth to erupt in a fountain of water, which will throw anyone stepping into it a little way up into the air on push enabled land
Attack tab: Hellfire spell – surround an entire sim in a hellish fire effect, with fireballs which cause anything they impact to burst into flames (combat enabled)
Zap spell – summon a ball of power which sends a lightning bolt at the target (combat enabled)
Push tab: Pulse spell – surround the avatar in a field of magickal force which repels anyone coming within 10m
Assist tab: Feast spell – summon a neverending feast (spell fire enabled) in front of the specified avatar
Travel tab: AddTPDest – Quickly store your current location as a destination for use with the Teleport or MapTP spells instead of having to make and drag a landmark
Use via command line to specify the name you wish it recorded under (e.g. /5 addtp My Favourite Spot)
PermPortal – Open a permanent portal to a location for the current sim stored in the HUD..
Will remain open despite dispells or spellcaster travelling through
This only works on “Portal” teleporters (Portal, DarkPortal, MerPortal, FirePortal, Mirror, Crystal, BigCrystal, Trilithon)
If used on a “Circle/Multi-avatar” teleporter, it will behave as if the Teleport spell was used
ClosePortal – Close all permanent portals within 10m of you. Required as permanent portals cannot be dispelled

2. New and improved teleporters
Access these new teleporters via Travel->TPType:
BigCrystal – Surrounds you in a huge crystalline teleportation field – for use by giant avatars (e.g. dragons)
Crystal – Surrounds you in a crystalline teleportation field
Trilithon – Summon the bones of the earth to rise in assistance (a three stone arch). Perfect for druids

The new and existing teleporters have all been updated as follows:
Join and Invite spells will now track a moving destination avatar and not dismount the passenger until the destination avatar is stationary
Fixed problem with invite spell sometimes dismounting avatars before they were teleported
Fixed problem with Fairy Circle (Mushroom) and Skulls TPTypes, whereby clicking on certain prims did not activate the teleporter
Improved message for GroundTP (no longer lists coordinates)
Messages during Transregional teleports look cleaner as they no longer list the name of the TPType in use
Support for summoning multiple simultaneous teleporters (e.g. a PermPortal and a Join, or two Join spells can be active, without impacting each other)
Various internal efficiency improvements in teleport code

3. New and changed ammunition for mouselook weaponry
Activate these through either Settings->Weaponry (Tools icon) or Options->Weaponry->Ammo
Blast – Particle effect weapon which pushes on impact
Bullet – A simple streak to simulate a bullet firing
Dagger – An ornate throwing dagger which produces blood on impact
Stake – A wooden stake which produces blood on impact
The blood particles on the Rock ammunition have also been updated

Improved compatibility with GM 3.0 Developer Guide when CombatSys set to Gorean_Meter
Weaponry now does damage based on the Damage setting specified in the HUD (Options->Combat->Damage or Settings->Combat)
Balanced setting now sets a more precise delay to comply with the damage setting

4. New feature – Spell Themes
Rather than have to select the spell that suits the type of avatar you are using (e.g. DarkLead vs Lead vs MerLead) you can now set a Theme which will determine the type of effects certain spells will use. This can be selected via the Settings menu (Tools icon) on the HUD.
Choose between Light (the default), Dark, Mer and Dragon (a setting for giant dragons or other giant avatars).
The previous “Themes” have been renamed as “Skins” on the Settings menu (Tools icon) as this is a more commonly used term.

The Theme setting affects the following spells and features:
– FallProtect (replaces the FallProtType setting in Options->Advanced)
– Shield – Merged Shield, MerShield and DarkShield into one and introduced a Giant Shield for dragon avatars such as the wonderful Sea Wolf creation
– Lead – Selects between Butterflies (Light), Bats (Dark), Fish (Mer) or dragons (Dragon) based on theme
– Locate – Selects between Butterflies (Light), Bats (Dark), Fish (Mer) or dragons (Dragon) based on theme
– Cloud – Selects between a storm cloud (Dark), a giant cloud (Dragon) or the usual light cloud (all other themes)
– SkyWalk – Selects between a storm cloud (Dark), a giant cloud (Dragon) or the usual light cloud (all other themes)
As a result of the introduction of Themes, the following individual themed spells are no longer present:
DarkLead, DarkLocate, MerLead, MerLocate, DarkShield, MerShield, DarkCloud, DarkSkyWalk
It is still possible to cast an “out of theme” spell by using the spells on the Dark and Mer tabs, which are configured to temporarily override the selected theme, however this functionality may disappear in future releases of the Deluxe HUD. Please let me know if that is of concern to you.

5. Updates to existing spells
Cloud Spell:
– Now requires confirmation to dispell, like Shield, and auto-dispells if target avatar cannot be found. Useful for combat sims.
– Fixed the “doughnut” hole in the middle of the Cloud spell
Shield Spell:
– Anyone who tries to sit on the Shield other than the spell target, will be teleported 50m away. Fixes a problem where other avatars could get inside your shield before you sat on it
– New CLEANSE option on the Shield menu (available when sitting in the shield)
This will attempt to clear you of following spells/objects by teleporting to each sim boundary and offsetting you over the sim edge.
Many following spells/objects will lose you as they follow you into another sim or into the sim void and get returned to owner
Scry Spell:
– Tries harder to find avatar key before timing out
– Now uses multiple Name2Key databases to improve the chances of finding the target’s details
– Checks it has a first and last name and stops listening once it does
– Positions relative to the casting avatar based on the value for Options->Advanced->RezDist, to support large avatars
Skywalk: Particles for SkyWalk modified to match Cloud spell. Introduced support for Dark and Dragon themes (larger cloud for Dragon theme)
Vanish: Introduced a “Reappear” menu for the spell target, so that they can choose to reappear without you having to dispell the spell (as for the new “Sink” spell)
Dash: Fixed rare problem where hitting cursor arrow down whilst dashing with movelock disabled could lock you in place
Forest: Now includes nature sounds
Burn: Fixed a problem with one of the flame prims not resizing and removed extra scripts that were required for resizing
Flame: Fixed a problem with one of the flame prims not resizing and removed extra scripts that were required for resizing
Cage: No longer blows apart when cast on avatars sitting on large objects or phased/offset shields
Jail: No longer blows apart when cast on avatars sitting on large objects or phased/offset shields
Air: Now correctly names the recipient of the AirSpellActivator when cast on other avatars
Wisp: Can now be made to flitter around the target by clicking on the spell once cast (as it did in a previous version)
Demon: Can now be made to flitter around the target by clicking on the spell once cast (as it did in a previous version)

6. New spellcasting animations
Added HandWaveLeft and HandWaveRight animations and changed the default spellcasting animation to HandWaveLeft.

7. Changes to the HUD
– Added a RezDist variable to Options->Advanced
This is used by the Portal teleporters (Portal, DarkPortal, MerPortal, FirePortal, Mirror, Crystal, BigCrystal, Trilithon) to determine how far in front of the avatar the portal should appear. When selecting the Dragon theme, RezDist is set to 9m instead of the default of 1.5m, to support giant dragon avatars such as the Sea Wolf
Also used by Feast and Scry spells to improve support for giant dragon avatars such as the Sea Wolf
– Chained commands separated by a semicolon now supported (e.g. /5 blast blackdog;dazzle blackdog;darkness blackdog)
– Made HUD initialisation faster and merged some scripts to increase performance
– Display HUD title bar with “Updating” and “Configuring” messages during HUD Updates and resets to reduce confusion of new users during updates
– Fixed some problems which could occur in rare circumstances when dispelling by avatar
– Removed “ByRange” option when dispelling by avatar
– Internal changes to the way spellcasting messages and favourites are handled, to speed up HUD resets, improve HUD efficiency and prepare for 3rd party spells
